ALL ABOUT CLARET ACADEMY
Claret Academy Secondary School is a private educational institute established, organized and directly administered by the East Nigerian Province of the Religious Congregation of Missionaries, Sons of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary, otherwise known as the Claretian Missionaries. Claret Academy was formally opened in September 1998 as a nursery/primary school. The title "Claret Academy" was given to it because of the rapid growth of the school and the intended plan to develop it into secondary and tertiary levels of education, perhaps with different campuses in several places.
The purpose of the school is to impart knowledge and education to minors in the levels of pre-nursery, nursery, primary and secondary school.levels, as a contribution to the development effort of the Catholic Church and the Nigerian government in the formation of children and youth of the country and beyond.
Claret Academy Secondary School, which is the secondary arm of Claret Academy, started in 2004, and so far four sets of Senior Secondary School finalists have graduated from the school. Claret Academy Secondary School is the first among the secondary schools in the secondary arm of Claretian Educational Project. Our school brings to practical realization the basic rights that the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria grants to all natural or artificial persons to found Educational Centers, within the constitutional provisions and principles.

We are now registering our SS 3 students for 2019 WAEC & NECO. Registration stops in January 2019. Parents are encouraged to register their children now to avoid the penalty of later registration.

The School operates a robust Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in the Nursery Section. The Primary Section operates a rich blend of the Nigerian and the International Primary Curricula with the use of the Edexcel International Primary Curriculum in Numeracy (Mathematics), Science and Literacy (English).
Learning with the International Primary Curriculum means that the children focus on a combination of academic, personal and international learning that is exciting and challenging. The aim of the IPC is to help every child enjoy the learning of a wide range of subjects and to develop an inquiring mind and personal attributes that will help them throughout teenage and adult years, and to develop a sense of their own nationality and culture at the same time, developing a profound respect for the nationalities and cultures of others. Through the IPC approach to learning, children develop the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to confidently face the world of tomorrow.
